French I is a course designed to develop knowledge and confidence toward the target language. In order to reach this ultimate goal, working on French stories is one of the tools we use. This work is organized in a socio-cultural perspective. The students practice the four skills of the foreign language learning: speaking, reading, writing, and listening.
The presentational mode is a 3-D e-book, using ZooBurst. After working on writing skills, the students have to write short stories. The students have: - to choose different characters, - to write their adventures in a logical manner, - to tell part of their story orally, - to work on them in order to reach fluency and confidence. The ultimate goal is to be as natural as possible. - to realize a 3-D interactive e-book.
Finally, the students post their work on their blog and this wikispace.
